Hiya everyone,

How are you all today? Good I hope. 🙂

Today I am going to write a review on Finding Audrey by author Sophie Kinsella who just happens to be my favourite author that I have found so far to date. And I was pleased to see it’s a fairly new book;it came out in June this year.finding audrey by Sophie Kinsella book cover

When I was looking for a book to read on my kindle and I came across this book and I was intrigued about what it was about and what it was like. I thought I’d have a little read to see what the story was about and instantly thought it sounded a brilliant book and thought I was going to love it and that I wasn’t going to want to put it down at night when I was reading just like I am when I have read all the other books by Sophie Kinsella especially her Shopaholic series which I am really happy to see that she’s got a new book out from that series next month so I can’t wait. I wasn’t wrong at all if anything it was even better than I thought if it was even possible to be any better :-).

Your probably wondering “What’s the book about Jordan?”. Well it’s about a teenage girl called Audrey who got badly bullied at school which leaves her with really bad social anxiety as a result of the bullying and she finds she not only can she not go to school but she can’t go anywhere and can’t even look her family (Mum,Dad and her 2 brothers;Frank and Felix) in the eyes and finds that she has to wear blacked out sunglasses all the time. Her psychiatrist suggests her filming her day and interviewing people and when her brother;Franks’s friend Linus notices her filming he starts talking to her, first through writing notes and then when Audrey’s suggested going to Starbucks, he helps her along the way with her journey and do lots of the things that she didn’t think she could do;well starting with just talking to him was a start and then eventually in the end she was going out without her blacked out sunglasses. So in the end she eventually managed to get herself back into the real world and also get herself a boyfriend who was Linus.

This book was written for teens but I’m 25 and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it and didn’t want to stop reading it just as I expected. I would give this a 4.5 out 5  and the only reason i didn’t give it the extra half is because I just wish it was slightly longer but I suppose there’s only so far you can take a story before it’s dragged out and won’t be as good.

If you want to grab the book you can get it from Amazon like I did here :-

Have you read this book before? What did you think of it?

I hope you have liked my book review.
